"S5DS04 Audio"
|
As noted in the "gear lust" thread down in Misc, I recorded the audio for DS04 with my trusty Snowball mic, but in different setups. The first two files were recorded with the old desktop tripod rig I've been using, but in a slightly awkward position owing to my computer being at a different, smaller desk now. The other three files were recorded with the same mic, but in a new rig involving a boom arm, a shock mount, and a pop filter. With the boom setup I can get the mic much closer to my face and not have to move my keyboard aside to do it, and the pop filter should mitigate the major drawback to having the mic closer to my mouth. Let me know if you think it worked, or if, in fact, you notice any significant difference at all. --G. On the downside, this means I can no longer claim that I have never rocked a mic with the pantyhose. -><- Benjamin D. Less hollow/echo-y and a bit more resonant. +1 -VR "They copied all they could follow, but they couldn't copy my mind, And I left 'em sweating and stealing a year and a half behind." |
