Even a Duke of Hell would presumably be on his toes around Freyja%2C but Akio not only gets his invite%2C but clearly has her strung around his finger. While this emphasizes how far Freyja%27s fallen%2C it also%2C to me%2C pointed out how %5Bi%5Dfucking dangerous%5B%2Fi%5D Akio still is. He has a powerbase. He%27s not desperate. And the skills that REALLY made his plan at Ohtori Academy are still with him. And he just suckered a big fish as his latest pawn.%0D%0A%0D%0A- Akio%27s internal dialogue. As much as I%27m on Corwin and Utena%27s side....Akio%27s evaluation of the situation%2C and cognizance of the huge disturbance his very presence makes in the entire wedding really elevates him to the level of Magnificent Bastardy. You hate him%2C but it%27s just so FUN to watch him earn that hate%2C because he%27s so smooth at it. Interestingly%2C having watched through his eps in the series proper%2C canon Akio doesn%27t have that level of magnificent bastardy. He%27s not quite as SMUG about it as he could be%2C and UF Akio really is. It%27s a certain sense of oozing charisma...or just oozing...that comes across whenever he%27s around in Symphony.%0D%0A%0D%0A- The cantina scene. So...perfect.
