It was fun enough so I decided to give it a proper whirl after uni was done. Cut to six months later and a whirl was given - thankfully%2C while the game was on sale.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe short review is%3A don%27t play Star Trek Online. It%27d be way better as an offline TIE Fighter-esque capship sim. But that%27s neither here nor there.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe game has two really strong features. One is the space combat%2C which is cool as heck%2C and the other is Cryptic%27s patented Awesome Character Generator. %0D%0A%0D%0AIt might just have been me but I had trouble initially picturing Utena%27s IPSF dress uniform in Fanfare for an Exiled Prince when I first read it. STO coupled with the Wrath of Khan uniform code makes it a lot easier to wrap your head around.
