The way they%27re portraying the main guy%2C %5Blink%3Aen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FRagnar_Lothbrok%7CRagnar Lodbrok%5D %28a legendary Viking hero played by Travis Fimmel%29 and his wife%2C %5Blink%3Aen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FLathgertha%7CLagertha%5D %28another legendary Viking%2C played by Katheryn Winnick%29%2C they could well be Corwin and Utena.  ESPECIALLY Lagertha%2FUtena. Assuming HC did their research %28however accurate Viking sagas are%29%2C G%27s portrayal of the Viking culture aspects of Corwin and Utena is just perfectly spot on.%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0AOne of the first things you learn about Lagertha is that she%27s a shieldmaiden%2C and she saved %2Ahis%2A life when they first met. She kicks butt in a fight%2C is still raising 2 kids at home%2C and yet goes out on the occasional raid too. Sounds a bit like something Utena could do  %3A%29%0D%0A%0D%0AIf you haven%27t heard about Vikings%2C it%27s not your typical History Channel documentary %28it%27s not any kind of documentary%29. Think %22Game of Thrones%22 with Vikings as the main characters. The thing to remember about law is a person can be Lawful with respect to their own moral code%2C utterly separate from what the legal standards of the area are. It%27s not as if Utena%2C or anyone else in her circle%2C abandon their sense of morality just because they%27re in Earth Alliance space%3B quite the opposite%2C in fact%2C because the evil and oppression they run into is so much more prevalent there--and made even worse by it being dolled up in a veneer of legality. The Viking self-assuredness and battle pride%2C sure%3B but at least as portrayed on the show%2C I think Ragnar and Lagertha are people C%26U would stand up to %28and probably win over to their side%29.
