0|0|0|||1||S5DS04 Audio|Gryphon||23:32:51|05/30/2014|As noted in the %22gear lust%22 thread down in Misc%2C I recorded the audio for DS04 with my trusty Snowball mic%2C but in different setups.  The first two files were recorded with the old desktop tripod rig I%27ve been using%2C but in a slightly awkward position owing to my computer being at a different%2C smaller desk now.  The other three files were recorded with the same mic%2C but in a new rig involving a boom arm%2C a shock mount%2C and a pop filter.%0D%0A%0D%0AWith the boom setup I can get the mic much closer to my face %5Bi%5Dand%5B%2Fi%5D not have to move my keyboard aside to do it%2C and the pop filter should mitigate the major drawback to having the mic closer to my mouth.
