So I decided to reread Symphony 1 %28and the others will probably follow%29.%0D%0A%0D%0AIt%27s interesting to see just how far ahead Gryphon and Co were foreshadowing some things.  For instance in Movement 3 %28A Rose for the New Year%29 I spotted these%3A%0D%0A%0D%0A%28Eris to Zoner%2C durring a flashback to how he first found Utena%29%0D%0A%0D%0A%5Bi%5D%22The Tenth World is in a mess%2C%22 Eris told him%2C %22and the Council of the Aesir are still trying to figure out what to do about it.  They%27ll probably end up sticking some poor jerk with going there and finding out as a Trial of Ascension. %22%5B%2Fi%5D%0D%0A%0D%0AAnd later%2C a bit from Miki%27s perspective while preparing to ring in the new year%3A%0D%0A%0D%0A%5Bi%5DThere was a chance encounter with one of Corwin%27s schoolmates%2C a very pleasant%2C polite seventh-grade girl who was called Fuu%2C and whose last name he could not remember to save his life.%5B%2Fi%5D
1|1|0|||||RE%3A Eeeenteresting...|Norgarth||15:43:22|03/17/2006|Amazing some of the things you catch on a second read.%0D%0A%0D%0AWorking through Another Christmas Rose %282nd Symphony%2C 3rd Movement%29 and I caught this%3A%0D%0A%0D%0A%5Bi%5D... and R-Type%27s Mutt-and-Jeff Red Legion bodyguards%2C burly Charlie Kawalsky and wiry Louis Feretti.%5B%2Fi%5D%0D%0A%0D%0ADespite being an SG-1 fan%2C I missed this the first time I read this story.%0D%0A%0D%0AAnd now that I%27ve finally seen Cowboy Beebop%2C I can visualize this bit much better. 8%29%0D%0A%0D%0A%5Bi%5DThe other was a scarlet aerospace fighter%2C stiletto-pointed%0D%0Aand sleek%2C with a pair of straight%2C T-shaped wings and a large%0D%0Aunderslung cannon%2C its entire body aft of the cockpit bubble taken up%0D%0Aby a brawny vector-ringed fusion turbine.  It stood on wheeled%0D%0Areverse-tricycle landing gear%2C cockpit canopy standing open%2C boarding%0D%0Aladder deployed%2C waiting.%0D%0A        Utena turned to look at Corwin and his father%2C who had closed%0D%0Athe doors behind them and stood with their arms folded%2C grinning.%0D%0A        %22You... you%27re GIVING me the SWORDFISH%3F%21%22 she burst out.%5B%2Fi%5D%0D%0A%0D%0AAfter I finally work my way through the Symphonies%2C I think I%27m gonna have to go back and reread some of the other EPU stories to see what I missed the first time round.

I recently picked up a sizable chunk of Gold Digger at a friend%27s suggestion%2C only to have him ever-so-slyly mention that it was in UF as well. Now%2C well%2C I%27m rereading a few stories just to pick up the details and enjoy a nice round of %22how did I miss THAT%3F%22 reactions. UF is quite possibly my biggest continuous source of such things. %3A%29%0D%0A%0D%0A-OM

He was absolutely the last person Juri%0D%0AArisugawa would ever have expected to find mocking her%2C even under%0D%0Athese surreal circumstances.  For a few harrowing seconds%2C her%0D%0Astill-awakening%2C understrength mind was paralyzed with the horrified%2C%0D%0Adisbelieving notion that the dead walked.%0D%0A%0D%0A       The speaker seemed to recognize this%3B his teeth gleamed white%0D%0Ain the shadows on his face as he smiled%2C chuckling darkly.  Then he%0D%0Atook a step forward so that one of the irregular beams of light from%0D%0Athe ceiling fell across his face and the gleaming badge on his chest.%0D%0A%0D%0A        Relief flooded through Juri - most incongruous relief%2C from%0D%0Aher confronter%27s point of view.  Her body%2C which had stiffened visibly%0D%0Aagainst its restraints at the sight of him%2C relaxed%2C sagging against%0D%0Athe bonds that held her more or less upright.%0D%0A%0D%0A        Ahmed Garcia didn%27t really know what to make of that.  He had%0D%0Acarried out a great number of interrogations and other such operations%0D%0Asince his assignment to Black Omega%2C and never once had anyone%2C in%0D%0Awaking and recognizing his uniform%2C had the thought%2C%0D%0A        %22Oh - it%27s only a Psi Cop.%22%5B%2Fi%5D%0D%0A%09- Hunter Rose%2C 4th Symphony
