0|0|0|||1||Music that reminds me of SotS|MOGSY||09:59:38|12/31/2006|Driving home to my folks%27 place for New Year%27s always lets me catch up on a few old CDs...This year%27s drive brought back a few songs which always seemed to go well with early Symphony stories%3A%0D%0A%0D%0A%22Accident Prone%22 by Jawbreaker - when we first meet the Utena cast in their early %22damaged goods%22 state%2C this is the song that always popped into my head %28bear in mind%2C that outside of some screenshots%2C trailers%2C and reviews I have zero familiarity with RGU other than I can attach the right names to most of the main characters%29%0D%0A%0D%0A%22Jet Black%22 also by Jawbreaker - I think it%27s a good fit for the Black Rose duellists%2C titular pun aside.  The creepy spoken word bit at the end seals it %28not sure what movie it%27s from%29%0D%0A%0D%0A%22Rooftops%22 - a bit more uplifting%2C this is a Hot Water Music song but the version I%27m thinking of is by Alkaline Trio.  Reminds me of Bancroft Tower...%0D%0A%0D%0AYes%2C these are in the indie%2Fpunk vein and Symphony is more arena rock%2C but there you go.  I don%27t know if any of the bands that Gryphon and co. have introed in the series fit the %22sullen hipster%2Fpunk%22 model at all though.%0D%0A%0D%0AOh%2C and Happy New Year%21 %0D%0A%0D%0A%22A good plan executed now is better than a perfect plan next week%22 - Gen George S.
